On 4 November 2026, the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” welcomed representatives of CMA Ships Ukraine, part of the CMA CGM Group: Director Ye.Ye. Tiupikov and Deputy Director G.Ye. Dupikov.

CMA CGM is one of the world’s leading maritime transport companies. Founded in Marseille in 1978 by Jacques R. Saadé, it is today the world’s third-largest container shipping company. The Group operates in 184 countries, employs around 170,000 people and runs a fleet of more than 700 vessels calling at over 420 ports; in 2025 it carried more than 24 million TEU.

During the meeting, the guests told the cadets about the company’s activities, its fleet, working conditions on board, requirements for candidates and opportunities for professional growth for young seafarers. The cadets were able to ask questions and learn more about the prospects of working with one of the largest shipping companies in the world.
