From 3^rd to 7^th September, 2024 the delegation of academic and administrative staff members of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” attended the training on Recognition of Prior Learning. Training was held at Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Republic of Poland) in the framework of Erasmus+ Project “Qualifications recognition support for Ukrainian universities” (QUARSU).

The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Marek Frankowicz (Jagiellonian University, QUARSU project coordinator) and Prof. Dr. Vadym Zakharchenko (Vice Rector of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, QUARSU project national coordinator Ukraine).

Representatives of Kherson National Technical University, Mariupol State University Sumy State University, Ukrainian National Forestry University and Federation of Employers of Ukraine also took part in the training.

The training was delivered by experts from higher education institutions of the European Union countries: Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), University of Applied Sciences (Estonia), National University of Ireland (University College Cork), Instituto Politecnico de Coimbra (Portugal) and National Qualifications Agency of Estonia.

Also, the project methodological developments were discussed, and a plan for further QUARSU project activities and further project financial plan were agreed.

National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” was represented at the event by vice rector for scientific and pedagogical affairs Prof. Vadym Zakharchenko, Prof. Mykila Mukha, Prof. Olha Khliyeva, Associate prof. Alla Drankova, Associate prof. Vladyslava Golikova and Chief Accountant Vasylyna Bandurka.
