The International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists “Ship’s Power Plants: Operation and Repair” was held at the premises of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” on November 17, 2021.

This event was conducted online for the participation of applicants, offline – for research and teaching staff: doctors, professors, associate professors of NU “OMA” representing the following departments: ship’s heat engineering, material technologies and ship’s repair, ship’s power plants, fleet maintenance, fundamentals of health and safety, theoretical mechanics, ship’s auxiliaries and refrigeration equipment, English. The event was opened by M.O. Kolegaev, Director of Educational and Scientific Institute of Marine Engineering of NU ”OMA’ and M.V. Miyusov, the Rector of NU “OMA” made a plenary report on “Maritime Education in Ukraine”. The participants’ interest in the raised topic of the report caused a lively discussion among the audience with the support of K.L. Obertiur, Deputy Director for Research Department.

 During the conference, scientific reports were discussed in two sections: Operation and Repair of Ship’s Power Plants headed by V.A. Golikov and Ship’s Power Plants and Systems headed by S.V. Sagin.

Based on the results of the conference, materials and the best reports recommended for publication are to be published in the scientific collection “Ship’s Power Plants” (included in category “B” of professional publications of the Ministry of Education and Science).
