On 17-19 November 2016, National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» participated in the annual international specialized exhibition “Education and Career – Students’ Day 2016” and the exhibition of foreign educational institutions “Education Abroad”, which are held annually in the city of Kiev at the premises of national centre of business and cultural cooperation “Ukrainian House”.

The opening event was attended by: V.G. Kremen, the President of National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the President of Society “Knowledge ” of Ukraine; V.I. Kusherets, the Chairman of Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine; I.A. Baluba, Head of Teaching Training and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; V.V. Tkachenko, Acting Director of the Institute of Education Content Modernization of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Isabelle Dumont, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine; Sylvain Rigolle, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine and others.

All those wishing including future students and their parents had the opportunity to receive all the necessary information about the features of admission to higher educational establishments in Ukraine and abroad.

The exhibition was attended by more than 70 universities in Ukraine, 64 foreign educational establishments and more than 20 Ukrainian agencies. In addition to individual counseling and personal meetings, the exhibition programme included workshops and “round tables” on the problems of international cooperation in the field of education and implementation of modern technologies, presentations of domestic and foreign educational institutions, youth programmes and exchange programme of students and pupils, studying the experience of cooperation with European countries in the field of education and youth employment.

National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» was awarded the Grand Prix “International cooperation in the field of Education and Science” and received the title “Leader of International Activities”. M.V. Miyusov, the Rector of NU «OMA» was awarded the gratitude for long fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity as well as significant contributions to the education and science development of Ukraine. O.N. Mazur, Head of Advertisement and Information Department of NU «OMA» was awarded a diploma for active participation in the exhibition workshops and presentation of innovative educational technologies.
