On June 7, 1944, the Odessa Higher Marine School was established. Over the decades, the school has developed dynamically and become the world-famous National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, which has faculties, colleges and institutes in Odessa, Mariupol and Izmail, trains specialists for international shipping and the Ukrainian Navy. I sincerely congratulate the scientific- pedagogical staff, employees, cadets and graduates of the university on the 76th anniversary of the institution, I wish prosperity and further achievements for the development of Ukraine as a maritime state.
