Takeshi Nakazawa, the representative of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) arrived to National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” to meet with lecturers and cadets on September 19, 2017. Мykhaylo Miyusov, the Rector of NU “OMA” made an introductory statement and noted that the University was an active member of the International Association of Maritime Universities.

Takeshi Nakazawa, Executive Director of the International Association of Maritime Universities delivered a presentation on the activities of IAMU – a global network of leading maritime universities, providing maritime education and training to seamen for the global shipping industry.

During the event, Mr.Takeshi Nakazawa discussed a number of issues arising in the maritime industry and the opportunities for their solutions. It is worth mentioning that academic staff and cadets were actively involved in the discussion with a guest of the University.
