Members of the IMarEST Odessa Branch took part in conduction and organization of conferences and events devoted to the scientific work of the Engineering Faculties at the National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” and other institutions.
On 4-6, October 2016 the 12th conference on hydrography HYPACK 2016 under support of State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine took place at National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
On 25-27 October, 2016 Kongsberg Simulator User Conference 2016 of Kongsberg Maritime Company dedicated to the theme “The Role of Human Factors in Simulation and Training” took place in Athens (Greece) at “Hotel Royal Olympic”.
On 26-28 October, 2016 the 17th Annual Assembly of the International Association of Maritime Universities was held at the premises of Vietnam Maritime University in the city Haiphong, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV).
On 27-28 October, 2016 the 17th Scientific and Technical Conference on “Practical Problems of Radio Communication and Radio Navigation in GMDSS, in the AIS, VTMS and RIS Systems” was held at National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» conducted by Prof., Dr. of Eng.Sc.Vitaliy Koshevoy.
On 29-30 November, 2016 Sixth annual Scientific-theoretical conference “Actual problems of the electrical engineering and radio engineering” took place at National University «Odessa Maritime Academy».
On 30-3 February, 2017 The fourth session of the Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping took place in the Headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO, London, UK).
On 23-24 March, 2017 Annual International Scientific and Technical Conference on «Sea and River Fleet: Operation and Repair» took place at National University «Odessa Maritime Academy».
On April 19, 2017 the meeting of the representatives of International Maritime Organization, the Nautical Institute, the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology took place in National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
On 20-21 April, 2017 the 5th International Forum on Seafarers’ Education, Training and Crewing was held in Odessa under a slogan “Partnership for progress”. ETC-2017 was organised by National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
On May 4, 2017 Meeting of the Association “Regional Competence Centre of Cruise Tourism in the Black Sea region “Cruise Black Sea” was held in the Hall of the Academic Council of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
On 30 – 31 May, 2017 Technical seminar on New micro-controller equipment and appropriate software of Mitsubishi Electric Company (a programmable logic controller of IQR series and frequency converter of FR-A800 series) was held on the basis of the Laboratory of Electromechanical Systems of Ship Electro mechanics and Electrical Engineering Department of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” jointly with the KSK-Automation.
On 7-16 June, 2017 the 98th session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) was held at the Headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London.
On 13-14 June, 2017 The Meeting of the Tempus Coordination Committee “Qualifications Framework for Environmental Science for Ukrainian Universities” took place at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
On 19 September, 2017 the National Maritime Research Institute (Japan) in collaboration with National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, supported by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology held the Round Table on “Problem of the latest IT technologies application to propulsion plant control in the framework of an autonomous ship development”.
On 20-21 September, 2017 the International Association of Marine Lecturers (IMLA) in collaboration with National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, supported by the Maritime Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine and by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology held the 13th International Conference on Engine Room Simulators (ICERS13) in Odessa, Ukraine.
On 26-28 September, 2017 “KONGSBERG UC2017 – the International Maritime Simulation User Conference”of Kongsberg Maritime Company dedicated to the theme “Digital Solutions Connecting People & Technology” took place in The Hague (Scheveningen), The Netherlands at “Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus”.
