September 22 marked a significant event at National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” – the Day of initiation into cadets.

It has long been one of the most significant events in cadets’ life. Today, cadets officially began their journey from young seekers of wisdom and explorers of the world to sought-after professionals in their field – future sailors, lawyers and managers. Traditionally, first-year students swore their allegiance and devotion to their noble trade, their future profession and their country. Cadets also received university badges and record books.

The solemn event began with words of wisdom and wishes from the Rector, prof. Mykhaylo Miyusov and distinguished guests. Ukrainian songs, playing musical instruments, dance performances – all these activities were arranged to entertain cadets and guests during the festive concert.

The event will definitely be remembered and will evoke pleasant memories in the future.
