Prof. Dr. V.M. Zakharchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affair of National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» participated in HERE Annual Conference 2018 “Capacity building for higher education reform: The impact of collaborative international projects” at the premises of Sapienza University of Rome.

The conference was attended by Ukrainian delegation: S. Shytikova (Director of the National ERASMUS+ Office in Ukraine); members of National team of Higher Education Reform Experts: V. Zakharchenko (National University «Odessa Maritime Academy»), V. Bakhrushin (Zaporizhzhya National Technical University), A. Stavytskyy, (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv), I.  Zolotareva (Kharkiv National University of Economics), and L. Krivoruchka (National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”) took part in the conference as well.

The following issues were discussed within the conference programme: the Bologna Ministerial Conference 2018 outcomes; the results of national teams of Higher Education Reform Experts activities; the impact of the ERASMUS + program on capacity building for higher education reforms and academic mobility, autonomy and governance reforms at universities; implementation of national qualifications frameworks and recognition; quality assurance; new methods and technologies for teaching and learning; inclusive education; successful practices in of projects designing and management, and other actual issues in the European Higher Education Area.

Moreover, the new international contacts were established and tasks for designing of new ERASMUS + projects for Ukrainian higher education institutions were discussed during the event.
