The representatives of Goldenport Odessa arrived at National University ”Odessa Maritime Academy” on the occasion of the company’s 19th anniversary to discuss the current crewing trends with the cadets and academic staff on December 7, 2017.

Cpt Nicolaos Kostiras, Manager of Oceangold Odessa welcomed the guests and made a brief presentation of Goldenport Odessa regarding the activities in the Ukrainian crew market. Besides, cadetship program presentation was held by Mr Nikolaos Kokkinos, Crew Manager of Goldenport Shipmanagement Ltd.

The following topics were discussed during the meeting, namely: update on collaboration with NU ”OMA”; MARPOL incidents and human factor; Ballast Water Management (BWM); Ship recycling service; EU Regulation 2015/757 for Marine Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV); Cargo precautions matters at Ukrainian ports. Brief presentation on the new STWC convention was held as well.
