On December 11, 2018 National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» was visited by the representatives of Van Oord company to meet with the leadership of the University as well as to discuss the issues of the cadet expansion programme.

The representatives of the company had an opportunity to get acquainted with the University’s history, its modern facilities, the up-to-date maritime simulators and give a presentation on the activities of Van Oord company for the University’s cadets. In addition, the guests had an excursion around educational buildings.

Van Oord is a Dutch maritime contracting company that specializes in dredging, land reclamation and constructing man made islands. Royal Van Oord has undertaken many projects throughout the world, including land reclamation, dredging and beach nourishment. The company has one of the world’s largest dredging fleets.
