On March 31, 2026, the leadership of the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” (NUOMA) and Odesa National Maritime University (ONMU), together with representatives of their educational and scientific institutes, held a working meeting focused on the training of future merchant navy officers – marine engineers.

The discussion centered on the exchange of experience in monitoring and developing educational programs, incorporating modern industry requirements, and identifying promising areas for joint projects.

Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening students’ practical skills and integrating innovative technologies into the educational process.

As a result of the meeting, NUOMA and ONMU agreed to expand cooperation and launch joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of training for future marine engineers.
